The European Testing and Experimentation Facilities for Agrifood Innovation
AgrifoodTEF aims to foster sustainable and efficient food production and empowers AI innovators with validation tools needed to bridge the gap between their brightest ideas and successful market products.
Built as a network of physical and digital facilities across Europe, the project provides services that help assess and validate third-party AI and agricultural robotics solutions in real-world conditions aiming to maximise impact from digitalisation of the agricultural sector.
Agro-ecology in controlled environments
The Dutch node will exploit competences and involvement in various initiatives related to AI, data and robotics to promote more sustainable farming practices in the context of agro-ecology. To contribute to the AgrifoodTEF ambitious objectives Wageningen Research and University will further levarage being part of the Dutch AI coalition and amongst the drivers of international Digital Innovation Hub networks from SmartAgriHubs and agROBOfood.
